Our comprehensive practical and theoretical course comprises of the following:
- First Aid/CPR
- Training in elderly conditions. You will choose your speciality
- Observation
- Making a bed with patient in it
- Transferring a patient from bed to wheelchair
- Assist with dressing and grooming
- Personal care
- Assisting with toilet use
- Cleaning of the toilet and commode areas
- Changing adult incontinence pad
- Assist with feeding, serving meals and tidying away
- Engagement of creative activities, reading, board games
- Assisting with making the bed and tidying the bedroom
- Assisting with conversation and comforting
- Lifting the elderly in the correct manner if needed
- Assisting with oral medication
- Assisting with bathing
- Assisting with cleaning of patient home where needed
